———————
Willie Waldman is an American trumpeter known for blending jazz, funk, rock, and hip-hop into a bold, high-energy sound that pushes the traditional role of the trumpet far beyond straight-ahead jazz.

Originally from California, Waldman built his reputation as both a dynamic live performer and a sought-after collaborator. He gained wider recognition through his work with Tupac Shakur, contributing trumpet to tracks that helped shape the cinematic, West Coast hip-hop sound of the 1990s. His ability to fuse horn lines with modern production opened doors across genres.

Over the years, Waldman has worked with artists including:
Tupac
Wu Tang
Sublime
Snoop Dogg
George Clinton + MANY MORE

As a solo artist, he’s released albums that showcase his signature style — soaring trumpet melodies layered over grooves that pull from funk, hip-hop, jam band culture, and progressive jazz. His live shows often lean improvisational, with extended solos and heavy rhythmic interplay.

Jake Cinninger is best known as the lead guitarist and a primary songwriter for the progressive jam band Umphrey’s McGee. Since joining the band in 2000, Cinninger has become one of the most respected and technically versatile guitarists in the modern jam scene.

With Umphrey’s McGee, Cinninger helped shape a sound that blends progressive rock, funk, metal, jazz, and electronic elements — all delivered with deep improvisational freedom. The band is known for its intricate compositions and extended live jams, and Jake is often at the center of those explosive musical moments.

Beyond Umphrey’s, he has collaborated with a wide range of musicians across the jam, rock, and fusion worlds, earning a reputation as a “musician’s musician” — equally comfortable shredding over odd time signatures or crafting thoughtful, melodic solos.
