Annual Tulip Dig
May 30 @ 9:00 am – 9:30 am

Grab a potato fork, pitchfork, or shovel and come out for Holland in Bloom’s annual Tulip Dig! The dig is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at 9am.
Participants will be able to go to one of TWO City parks – Centennial Park (10th Street between River and Central Avenues), and Windmill Island Gardens (1 Lincoln Avenue) – and dig out tulip bulbs for replanting in your own garden.
Before digging, all diggers will pay $10 per 5-gallon bucket. ALL buckets must be tagged before digging, no exceptions. Please remember to bring a digging tool and your bucket. NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Choose your park, pay, get your bucket tagged, pick your spot, and dig. All necessary supplies, including the bucket, digging tools, gardening gloves must be supplied by the participants.
Cash ONLY will be accepted. Maps will NOT be available this year so we encourage you to snap a pic of the tulips you want to dig up because the petals will be gone! IMPORTANT: This is a shotgun start beginning at 9am. When the tulips are gone, they’re gone! Plan accordingly!
NOTE: there is NO dig at Window at the Waterfront this year.
